April 2012 Commissary Coupon Deals & Matchups, Commissary Couponing, Commissary Coupon Policy

Commissary Coupon Matchups and Store Guide:

Be sure to keep your eye out for the tearpads located all throughout the commissary; some are exclusive military coupons, and some are manufacturer’s coupons. Also, never shop at the Commissary on payday. Why? That’s when the manufacturers raise their prices, so DeCA has to, also. Prices go back down to normal a few days after pay day ;)

Commissary Coupon Policy Rundown: {click here for more, and here for the full policy on pg. 41}

* Commissaries DO NOT double or triple coupons.
* Only one coupon can be used per item.
* Commissaries WILL accept Internet printed coupons.
* The Commissary does accept CATALINA coupons so long the verbiage states “Redeemable at” or “Redeem at,” on top of other mfr. coupons. These are “coupons” that print alongside the register at off-post grocery and drugstores. Read more HERE.

Posting Commissary Prices

It is not against DeCA’s policy to post Commissary prices as found through online (public) websites. It is, however, againest DeCA policy to post the prices listed in the “virtual” Commissary at Commissaries.com. For any issues, please contact DeCA directly.

Did you know they’re not printing the Kraft coupon for the cream cheese anymore? Went and tried to get the -5/5 off the website and it wouldn’t let me.

    • Michelle says:

That stinks!! They must’ve reached their limit. All the people who printed theirs got lucky if they still have it!!! I have a few printed ones that I need to use still.

  2. Meghan says:

I can not thank you enough for doing this for us commissary shoppers. Since I live 30 minutes from my commissary, this list helps me plan my bi-monthly grocery shopping. Thank You Thank You Thank You!!!

    • Michelle says:

Hi Meghan!! You are very welcome!! It’s crazy how many deals we can get at the commissary isn’t it? It’s so hard for me to shop even at Walmart because I know I can get an even better deal!! My head spins because of all the great prices our commissary has after coupons!!!

      • Meghan says:

Michelle, where do you pick up the commissary magazine? All I find at my commissary entrance are the maxi savers and random sheets of glade coupons. Is the commissary your main store? I am just now getting started in couponing and know I have a lot to learn. Is there a certain day of the week it’s better to shop? Thanks Michelle!

        • Michelle says:

Hey Meghan – I talked to a lady at Family Media and she said that there is a door person up front who hands out the Family Media Magazines each month on the 15th or so. The extra ones get placed on the counter/table up front. I don’t know if all commissaries put the extra ones out on display or not…For the December issue, it should have been handed out on November 15th, and for the January issue, you should see that on December 15th, so on and so forth. For some reason I didn’t see my December issue on the 15th of this month, so I take it they are late with it…….argghhh :)

  3. RACHEL P says:

Hi! I have a quick question. Can you tell me about Overage at the Commissary. I went today and they informed me that I could not use the Gas X coupon b/c it was valued at more then the item. Hense No overage allowed. This is the 1st I have heard of it. In fact they wouldnt even change the coupon to the amt of item, flat out said couldnt use it. Of coarse I got a manager and he Ok’d it. However im looking through the policy and dont see anything on Overage. Am I missing it? Thanks!

  4. Hi Michelle I was wondering if you could help me find 4 coupons that have an overage? Kleenex, Reach Dental Floss, Gas X and Cream of Wheat. If you need to email you can send it to jugglingjpegs@gmail.com

    Thank you a ton

  5. RACHEL P says:

    Hi Michelle,
I did! Thank you so much. I printed it out and brought it with me! Cashier was a bit shocked I had the policy…. :) Thanks again!

  6. Dawn Gilmour says:

could I get a copy of that email as well as I have had the same problem recently! Thanks! Also, curious what part of the country you live in because the coupons from my paper in Northern VA seldom are as good as the ones you list. Just curious. Thanks for all you do!

  7. Libby says:

Special K snack bars dropped last week at Keesler Commissary. This makes a good deal with the coupons on the Kelloggs website for $1/2, $2/3, and $3/5. Not sure how long they’re discounted for.

  8. Amy says:

Can I get a copy of that email as well? It’s always nice to have backup if ever I have an issue. Thanks in advance!!!

  9. Melody says:

HI. I thought the commisaries accept expired coupons-if they do-please contact me with where I might send them. I am on Facebook as well and have a bunch. Hate to just toss them out when they might get used and help out. ~Thanks!

  10. Kayla says:

Can you use a military coupon and manufacture coupon on the same item in the commissaries? I’m pretty new to all this so I’m still learning. Thanks

    • Melissa says:

No you’re not allowed anymore, you used to be able to, but they are no longer allowing “doubling” even tho technically you aren’t so its strictly “1 coupon per item”

  11. Kayla says:

    Thanks :)
