Frequently Asked Coupon Questions at the Military Exchange
I’ve had a lot of questions lately regarding the Exchange and their coupon acceptance, so I thought I’d do some research and share what I’ve found. Here are some Q&A’s from their Facebook page, which I highly suggest printing and taking with you to the store just in case! You’ll also want to print the AAFES Exchange Coupon Policy as well as the Navy Exchange Coupon Policy and carry it with you.
Q: Will the Exchange price match other Black Friday Ads/Prices?
A: You can price match Black Friday ads as long as the item is not an exclusion listed in our regular Price Match Policy. For example, we cannot price match items listed as limited quantities (or “while quantities last”), doorbusters, or bundles. You can find our Price Match Policy here: http://shopmyexchange.com/CustomerService/priceMatch.htm
Q: Can you use a manufacturers coupon in addition to the AAFES Store coupon on Facebook?
A: Yes, unless one of the coupons specifically states that offer cannot be combined with another offer.
Q: Does AAFES honor any coupon I find for a product sold at AAFES? I have a coupon for StrideRite Shoes (or Yankee Candle etc) and AAFES has them. However it’s not an AAFES coupon?
A: Here is the coupon policy in full: http://www.shopmyexchange.com/CustomerService/couponAcceptance.htm
Unless the vendor coupon prohibits use in Military retail establishments, there should not be any issue (read the fine print first)
Q: Does AAFES price match Amazon.com? I saw that Amazon is offering the new ipod touch (32G) for 274.99 rather then the 299.00.
A: Full details of our price match policy can be found here: http://shopmyexchange.com/CustomerService/priceMatch.htm
Q: Does the Exchange accept coupons from lets say Coach?
They have a 20% off coupon posted online.
A: Coach has confirmed that their Outlet Coupons are intended for the Outlet stores only and will not be accepted at any other retail location.
Q: Where are the Exchange Facebook Coupons?
A: Coupons are still under the coupon tab box, due to the new Facebook format of the page. {Issues? Right click on the coupon and select “print picture” and you can also select the “save picture as” option and save it to your desktop}.
Q: Do you guys accept expired coupons, 6 months past the expiration date OVERSEAS? (this EXCLUDES Hawaii and Alaska!)
A: OCONUS locations will accept coupons 6 months past expiration date.
Q: What is the policy on when you purchase something and it goes on sale the next day or two?
A: You can find the answer to your question in item number 3 here: http://shopmyexchange.com/CustomerService/priceMatch.htm
Q: Can you use a coupon with an item you are price matching?
A: Yes. The policies are separate and operate independently.
Q: Do the overseas Exchange accept the AAFES Store coupons on Facebook up to 6 months past their expiration?
A: No. Only manufacturer coupons will be accepted.
Q: Can I use the Facebook coupons at the Shoppette and Troop Malls as well as the PX/BX?
A: Yes.
Q: Can I use the AAFES Facebook coupons at the Navy Exchange? Can I use an NEX Facebook coupon at AAFES?
A: Yes. So long as the coupons do not state ”For Use Only At ____ Store.”
Q: Can I print as many of the AAFES Facebook Store Coupons as I want?
A: Yes.
Q: Can I use a “Military Store Coupon” at AAFES?
A: Yes. You just cannot stack these with another manufacturer coupon because the military store coupon is also a manufacturer coupon. You cannot use a “Commissary Only” Coupon at the Exchange.
Q: Will the Exchange price match the Dollar Tree, Dollar Store, Dollar General and Family Dollar?
A: Yes. See Facebook Q&A here
Q: Can you price match and use a coupon code online?
A: Yes, as long as the fine print from the coupon doesn’t exclude it.
Q: Will you price match a BOGO FREE Sale?
A: No. See Facebook Q&A here
Q: Will you price match a BOGO FREE coupon or other stores BOGO coupons?
A: Yes. Local Competitors coupons to include BOGO store coupons are part of our We Price Match policy and will be used to calculate the competitors “out the door” price before tax. The coupon must be from a local competitor and state a specific price and provide a date indicating it is a current promotion. A Buy One Get One coupon must provide a specific price as noted in BOGO coupon policy. One manufacturer’s and one Exchange coupon may be applied after the final sales price is determined unless either coupon prohibits. See Facebook Q&A here (which addresses to visit their Coupon Policy here)
Q: Can you stack a BOGO coupon with another coupon?
A: BOGO coupons cannot be stacked with either additional BOGO Coupons or other cents off manufacturer coupons on the same items. Multiple BOGO coupons may be used when purchasing additional BOGO merchandise unless prohibited by coupon. If an Exchange BOGO coupon is utilized, one additional cents off manufacturer coupon may be applied to the first item unless prohibited by either coupon. If a Manufacturer’s BOGO coupon is utilized, one additional cents off Exchange coupon may be applied to the first item unless prohibited by either coupon.See Facebook Q&A here
Q: Is there a limit to the amount of items you can price match?
A: No. See Facebook Q&A here
Q: Will the actual Exchange store price match online prices?
A: Our brick and mortar stores will only price match competing brick and mortar stores; our online site will only price match other online sites. This is because the cost of doing business is different between in-store and online, so we price match between equal venues to maintain a fair business practice. As the exception, our brick and mortar stores will price match our online site, and vice versa, to ensure you have the best value from the Exchange in rare instances when our price online may mistakenly vary from our price in-store on the same item (which we would then work to correct). See Facebook Q&A here
Q: Can we use the Clip & Save Big Exchange Store Coupons overseas?
A: Not at this time, but you can use the coupons from the Exchange Facebook page. See Facebook Q&A here
