Cause: We aren’t just give away money! We help others. The bloggers involved in this raised money for a very deserving family. On 11/19/12, a fire broke out in a duplex on Fort Lee, an Army base in Virginia. On one side, the fire tragically took the lives of a father and his two year old daughter. On the other side, a family lost all of their worldly belongings but miraculously not each other. Operation United Hearts is gathering around the family who survived. The mother is a single mom, a brave soldier and a wonderful person. The children are 6 year old twins as well as a 3 year old. They survived by a miracle and we want to help bring a little Christmas magic to their lives.
This is exactly the moment that Giving Back is so very important. This soldier has dedicated her life to this country and our protection. The least we can do is rally around her family and show our appreciation. The military community AND blogger community are two unique groups who answer the call to action when someone is in need. I am so very proud to belong to both and for the difference, the love and the friendship that comes together in hard times.
How did we Help? Bloggers donated $300, toys, books and more for the family just in time for Christmas! Operation United Hearts has some great ladies and they pulled together to make the holiday season magical for a very deserving family. How can you Help?
