Love Craigslist? Well, if you’re military, you will love SargesList! Especially if you are PCS’ing and need to get rid of stuff quick, or if you are looking for a great bargain! SargesList is the perfect go-to site for military, by military.
SargesList has over 500 military installations networked within their site to make it easily accessible for military personnel all over the world to buy and sell almost anything. It’s a “military-networked” classifieds site, if you will.
It’s free to list items for sell, and each free listing comes with 5 photos and lasts for 14 days before it expires. If you haven’t reached your goal within the 14 day time frame, you may easily renew your listing free of charge!! And, if you want to get really snazzy, you can upgrade your listings for a small fee to maximize your exposure! You can read about that here.
Don’t want to sell or buy? No problem, but you might want to check out their awesome Services section! You’ll find something for everyone, from child care to photographers! They even have a Jobs board, which is perfect for military spouses looking for a job or career that gives spousal preference!
And, of course, you know I wouldn’t miss this one: SargesList has a Free section! If you can’t sell it, or don’t want to mess with all that pricing stuff, simply list it under the freebies. Everyone loves free stuff!
SargesList.com just launched on January 14, 2011. There are not a lot of listings right now, but it’s all just a matter of time! And how exciting for us to be some of the first to know about it! In fact, Elaine Klinkhammer, Executive Assistant of SargesList, states that, “We just shipped out marketing materials last week to military bases in the U.S. as well as several other countries; Korea, Germany, Italy and Japan.” Such materials will be incorporated into military welcome packets and housing offices worldwide.
If you’d like to read more about SargesList, Yahoo! News posted an article about it here, and it’s also featured in the current issues of the Army/Air Force/Navy/Marine Times, on newstands this week.
Thanks, Elaine!
